If you are afraid of science, let me first say that YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Once I put this web site out there I was inundated with emails from others like you who were afraid of teaching science. And that made me sad. There's no reason for you to live in fear of it and most of all, it's NOT your fault!

As a teacher, I welcomed the students who feared science and those who were labeled as learned disabled and they left my class enjoying science, no longer afraid and with more self esteem than when they entered.

When I speak to parents like you, at conventions and fairs, many there are people who fear science and they tell me about it before I speak. I usually use the periodic table of elements as my example. When I show them how simple it is, and that they just learned the first 5 lectures of college chemistry they have a shocked look on their faces. Afterward, it's always the same, they come up to me and tell me they can't believe how easy science is. They feel relieved and they leave with a different attitude. It is a wonderful thing to experience. I'm special?

No. Because science isn't hard. It never was. Honest. I was simply the vehicle.

To help support this site and to help the thousands of homeschoolers around the world who have emailed me, I took my own money and made an audio CD to help address these fears. I am very happy with how it turned out. It has been led by a passion and felt perfect. I believe that when you finish it, you will have a new attitude toward this subject.
